Grading maple syrup is achieved by measuring the percentage of light transmission through the syrup, for instance - Golden Delicate Taste is at least 75%, while Very Dark is 25%.
Senior Grader, Micheline Faucher has been grading syrup for more than 30 years in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec.
Established in 1995, Jean-Yves Richard’s maple farm is located in the beautiful Bas-Saint-Laurent region and was one of the first organic maple syrup producers in Quebec.
Jean is an award-winning producer who has worked maple farms his whole life. His farm was carefully selected to supply our St. Lawrence Gold Pure Dark Maple Syrup. With approximately 25,000 taps, the farm produces more than 200 drums of maple syrup annually.
